The University warmly welcomed its 1981 graduates
1 / 10More than 80 people gathered on Saturday in the second building of OrGMU for a meeting of graduates. Rector Igor Miroshnichenko was greeted standing up according to student custom.
Igor Vasilyevich was not surprised by the large number of guests: friendly, optimistic, well–organized meetings (and this was the seventh) were the merit of Olga Konstantinova, head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Next to her in the presidium is the "honored organizer" of such events, Larisa Belousova.
- I recently met with "fifteen-year-old graduates" - so there were significantly fewer of them, - he noted.
Igor Vasilyevich told the audience in detail about the current state of affairs at the university on the 45th anniversary of the graduation of the medical and pediatric faculties: about the ratings and his attitude to them, about the contingent of students, including foreign ones, about the educational project "Preuniversary", new buildings, laboratories, repairs. We even had a little argument about construction crews. As it turned out, Soviet students are proud of their skills as builders and finishers, which they acquired during the labor semester, and the rector asked the question:
- The skills of a tower crane operator have never been useful to me in my life, did I need to master this profession?
The meeting turned out to be eventful: a roll call of graduates by groups, and performances from the spot, and a selection of photographs from student life, and a slideshow of portraits of teachers (almost every one of whom was applauded by the audience), and musical gifts from colleagues. And how many more are left "behind the scenes"!
- Now we are making a directory of our graduates, - says Olga Konstantinova. - At each meeting, we survey fellow students, and based on these data, we can already say today that 58 of our children have followed in their parents' footsteps. We try to replenish the collection of knowledge about ourselves. It's a story! The history of the university and our personal history!
