Soldiers of the student medical detachment of OrGMU "36,6" share their impressions

In early July, they left for the regions of the country and began internships in medical organizations and healthcare institutions.

Daniil Lukin, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Medicine, participates in the interregional project "Hearts of the North". He works at the Surgut District Clinical Hospital, in the Intensive care unit and Anesthesiology No. 1:

- We work directly with the hospital management: with the chief physician, heads of departments and the chief nurse. We do internships in various departments, study theoretical material and attend practical skills trainings with specialized specialists. They tell us about the key features of the Ugra clinics so that we can learn from the experience of our colleagues and in the future be able to introduce new products in our regions for more comfortable patient management and staff convenience.

Ekaterina Gorlova is a second-year student at the Faculty of Medicine, mastering her virgin soil at the All-Russian Jasper Project.

- I work as a nurse at the outpatient cancer care center. I carry out daily routine and general cleaning of the premises. In addition, I provide support to patients by meeting them at the entrance, helping them navigate the corridors, and accompanying wheelchair-bound patients to treatment rooms. My responsibilities also include delivering tests to the laboratory according to the established itinerary, transporting tubes with biomaterial in a specialized container.

My plans are not about a career, but about inner growth. By the end of the semester, I want to learn how to let go of situations — not to take every difficult case with me, but at the same time not to become indifferent. I want to find a place where professional help doesn't kill humanity.

Ekaterina Sazonova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Prevention, is in her 4th virgin land in the city of Almetyevsk as part of the All-Russian student medical detachment Almedic. She works in the maternity ward as a nurse:

- An internship as part of a student team provides an opportunity to see the specifics of the work of hospitals in the country, to gain practical skills in various departments of medical organizations.
