252 residents in 45 specialties received their education certificates

The graduation ceremony of young specialists took place today in the assembly hall of the second academic building of OrGMU. A special feature of this year was the completion of the training of the first group in the specialty "occupational pathology".

Sergey Perepelkin, Vice Rector for Continuing Medical Education and Regional Health Development, addressed the audience with a parting word. He stressed that a diploma is not the end, but only a solid foundation on which to build his entire future career:

- Medicine is developing rapidly, and you will have to improve all your life. The University remains your reliable partner on this path: we are always ready to support you in the framework of continuing medical education.

Distinguished guests, including Andrey Shatilov, Minister of Health of the Orenburg Region, came to share the solemn moment with their young colleagues. The head of the department stressed that many graduates had already proved themselves in practice: 185 people combined their studies with work as interns, internists and pediatricians.

- This proves your sincere interest in the profession and your desire to help people - these are the specialists our medicine needs, - said Andrey Petrovich. - There are difficult tasks ahead of you: difficult cases, emotional stress, difficult conversations. But you will not be left alone with difficulties: you will be supported by experienced colleagues, mentors and supervisors. We create conditions for every young specialist to feel needed and protected.

The importance of the human factor in the profession was once again emphasized by senior colleagues. Igor Chekhonadsky, Chief Physician of the Orenburg Regional Clinical Narcological Dispensary, Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology at OrGMU, emphasized how important it is to be able to restrain emotions and preserve humanity:

- There are different types of patients, but doctors must remain professional. The main rule is to treat people the way you would like to be treated.

Andrey Guryanov, Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at OrGMU, in turn, reminded graduates that the basis of the profession is continuous development, mercy and humanity in working with patients, as well as protection from professional burnout. He wished the young specialists to preserve their inner fire and sensitivity, as well as to find simple human happiness.

Inna Tkachenko, Dean of the Faculty of Higher Education, congratulating the graduates, noted their high level of training demonstrated at the state certification.

- Patients trust you with the most valuable thing - their lives and health. May your work be filled with responsibility, delicacy and a sincere desire to help people," Inna Vyacheslavovna summed up.

Smiles, flowers, keepsake photos – and 252 residents are ready to live independently in a large medical family in the region.
